Galota v. Festival Hall Developments (2015), Barbara was successful at trial in setting a new precedent with respect to the standard of care required of lawyers practicing occupiers’ liability law.
Galota v. Festival Hall Developments (2016), the defendant applied to the Court of Appeal of Ontario to overturn the trial decision. Barbara acted as co-counsel for the appeal and was successful in upholding the original decision in favour of her client.
Mackay v. Starbucks (2015), Barbara and co-counsel were successful at trial in setting new precedent for the application and interpretation of the Occupiers Liability Act, June 2015.
Mackay v. Starbucks (2017), Starbucks applied to the Court of Appeal to overturn the trial decision. Barbara along with co-counsel were successful in uphold the ruling that Starbucks was an occupier of municipal sidewalk.
